  一、教学设计说明

  1、教材分析:

  本课教学内容是冀教版五年级上册第二单元Lesson12 Maddy’s Family Photos。这个故事通过Maddy及其家人的一些照片,介绍了他们一家人在不同的国家里丰富多彩的生活。本课的故事就是将Unit 1 My Family 和Unit 2 My Country and English-speaking Countries的重难点有机的结合在一起,并且对其进行了拓展和延伸。学生在读故事的过程中不仅巩固复习了本单元的重点单词和句型而且还对本单元的重要知识点进行汇总,同时提高了学生的阅读能力。

  2、学情分析:

  五年级的学生已经有两年的英语学习经历,大多学生们在听说读写方面有了一定的语言基础,并掌握了一定的学习技巧。相较于三四年级学生的活泼好动、对新鲜事物充满好奇心,五年级学生对英语学习学习的兴趣有所下降,,但思维理解能力有所提升。故事课的主要目的在于,培养学生的阅读理解能力,带领学生体验多种形式的阅读技巧,增强他们对课堂活动的参与和互动。为了更好地完成本课教学任务,我在课堂最开始就以激发学生的学习兴趣引入本课,为学生营造轻松愉悦的学习氛围,注重分层次教学。

  3、教学目标:

  语言知识及技能:

  1)能在语境中理解语言,领悟故事的中心意思。能在图片的帮助下听懂、读懂并讲述故事梗概或片断。

  2)能借助图片,通过小组合作复述故事。

  3) 能灵活运用所学句型和单词,介绍自己的家人照片。

  情感态度:

  1)通过竞赛、谜语、讨论、游戏、等多种教学活动来不断激发并强化学生的学习兴趣,使其积极主动地参与课堂活动,大胆开口,积极讨论。

  2)通过“家庭照片”这一话题,培养学生热爱家庭、热爱生活、热爱世界的良好意识。

  学习策略:

  1)创设以学生为主体的多种教学活动,让学生通过参与、体验、实践、合作、交流、探究等方式进行学习。

  2)通过师生间的交流,培养学生在实际生活中运用英语的能力。

  3)通过小组内的活动,培养学生的小组合作意识。

  文化意识:了解主要英语国家的首都、国旗、重要的标志物、自然景观、地理位置,帮助学生拓展视野,培养学生的世界意识。

  教学重难点

  教学重点:通过师生交流、生生交流、游戏、竞赛、小组活动等方式,让学生在自然的语境中理解本故事、复述本故事。

  教学难点:使学生能够在实际生活中运用所学语言知识介绍自己的家庭旅游照片。

  二、教具准备:多媒体、图片、录音机、磁带、关于家庭或旅游的照片。

  三、教学步骤:

  Step 1 Warming-up (1分钟)

  1. Greeting:Hello, boys and girls. How are you today?

  [设计意图] 通过温馨的问候,创设轻松愉快的英语学习氛围,调动学生学习英语的积极性。

  2.Play a game . (3分钟)

  T: Let’s have a competition. l divide you into two groups. Then I’ll show you some pictures and questions. If you know the answer, please say it out quickly. Which group is fast and right, I will give you a star. (依次出示各国地图、国旗、重要景点的图片课件请学生抢答。)

  S1: It’s a flag of Canada .

  T: Right. It’s a flag of Canada .

  S2: ……

  [设计意图] 游戏是学生最喜欢的环节,通过激烈的抢答比赛,复习了有关本单元的词汇和句子。即:说英语国家的首都、国旗、重要的标志物、自然景观。也为下一步故事教学的顺利进行打下基础。

  Step3 Presentation

  1. Prepare the story(1分钟)

  Free talk:

  T: Where do you live?

  S1: I live in China.

  T: Where does your family live?

  S2: My family lives in China.

  T: Do you have a big family?

  S3: No. (Yes.)

  T: We all know Maddy has a big family , too.

  T: Today I will tell you another story about Maddy .

  T: Now listen to the story , then order the pictures .

  [设计意图] 从复习到新授,过渡自然,不会割裂知识的整体性。通过师生的随意对话,由展示自己的家庭照片很自然地过渡到故事教学Maddy’s Family Photographs这个新授的环节,从而取得良好的教学效果。

  2. Listen and order . (听课文,给图片排序。) (4分)

  3. Read the story .(15分钟)

  1) Picture 1--3

  a. Show the pictures and ask some questions.

  T: Where does Maddy live?

  S: Canada.

  T: What does Maddy like to do?

  S: He likes to go to Niagara Falls.

  T: What does Maddy speak?

  S: English and French.

  b. Listen to the tape, then read follow it . Pay attention to the pronunciation .

  c. Show the pictures , Let student stick the pictures on the right places .

  2) Picture 4

  a. A riddle:

  T: This monster is Maddy ’ s uncle’s son. Who is he ?

  Ss: He is Maddy’s cousin.

  T: Yes. Look, this is Maddy’s cousin.

  b. Show the picture and ask some questions.

  T:Where does Maddy’s cousin live?

  S: China.

  T: How do you know?

  S: He is at The Great Wall.

  T: Where is The Great Wall ?

  S: In Beijing.

  T: Does he speak Chinese?

  S: Yes.

  c. Listen to the tape, then read follow it . Pay attention to the pronunciation .

  d. Let student stick the pictures on the right places

  3) Picture 5

  T: Maddy’s father’s father is Maddy’s grandfather.

  Ss: Yes. (Maybe someone is wrong.)

  a. Read and Judge.

  Maddy’s grandfather lives in the U.S. . ( √ )

  They speak French in the U.S. . ( × )

  Maddy’s grandfather likes to see the Great Wall . ( × )

  b. Listen to the tape, then read follow it . Pay attention to the pronunciation .

  c. Let student stick the pictures on the right places

  4) Picture 6

  a. Read the story , then answer the questions .

  [设计意图] 将整个故事分成几个片断进行教学,在一定程度上降低了学生理解的难度。同时针对图中的画面信息,教师设置疑问,诱发学生去思考,锻炼了学生用英语思维的能力,同时也注重了学生听说能力的培养。在听读故事的过程中边听,边读,边进行思考,使学生学会自主学习。

  4. Read the story together .(4分)

  1. Teacher show a chart , let the student to complete it in groups . Then let every groups to introduce it .(5分)

  设计意图:通过小组讨论的方式,培养学生合作交流的意识。通过分层次教学,鼓励大多数学生参与到学习氛围中。

  2. Let students to introduce their family photos with their partners .(5分)

   T: Boys and girls , here is my family photo . Do you know where it is ?

   S: Tian’anmen Square .

   T: You’re right ! How clever you are !

   T: Where is Tian’anmen Square ?

   S: In Beijing !

   T: My parents and I live in Tangshan , China. We speak Chinese . We like to the South Lake Park . My sisters live in Beijing , China . They speak Chinese , too . They like to go to the Tian’anmen Square .

   T: Now I give you three minutes to introduce your family photos with your partners . Start !

  3. Let someone to introduce their family photos in front of the class .

  设计意图:通过小组活动的方式,鼓励学生将所学知识应用在日常交际中,加强孩子们对本单元重点知识的理解运用,培养孩子沟通交流、互动合作的能力。

  Step 5 Homework (2分)

  1. Do the exercise book .

  2. 以My family photos 为题写一遍作文,50词。
