五年级上校本教材unit3阅读课教案
一、 设计理念:
本课素材选自我校正在编写和实践中的校本英语教材。基于PEP教材五年级上第三单元以喜欢的食物为基础,整合了原有教材中的主要词汇和基本句型,并拓展了greenbeans和pork等新词汇,增大了文本的容量。通过邀请Robin参加Yifan的生日聚会,并为家人准备可口的食物这一主线,引导学生学会在阅读中获取有用信息,提高口语表达能力,从而进一步提升学生的语言综合运用能力。
二、 教材分析:
本次教学内容为PEP 5A 第3单元的校本拓展素材,主题为What would you like?学生在PEP教材中已经学习过了和饮食有关的基本词汇和问答句式,虽然拓展部分的容量要比原有教材更大,也有两个新词汇,但学生的接受和认知应该不会有较大的障碍。教师立足于PEP教材的有效拓展,能更好帮助学生拓宽视野,提供多样化的学习素材,为学生的长远发展打好基础。
三、 学情分析:
学生已经在PEP教材中做到了有效掌握语言知识,相关话题的听说读写的基本能力初步形成。英语阅读学习方法的指导、读写结和的练习方式是本节课学生学习中的主要任务,相信学生会在多个活动中有所收获和提高。
四、教学设计:
Teaching Aims:
Knowledge and Ability
1.Ss can use these words and phrases: pork, onions, carrots, tomatoes, beef, chicken, green beans, potatoes, favorite food, birthday party.
2.Ss can understand and read this passage by themselves.
3.Ss can talk about and write their own favorite food with these words and phrases.
Emotional Attitude and Values
1.Through talking about their favorite food, let students know they should eat the healthy food and cherish the food.
2. Enable the students to cooperate with the classmates.
Focus:
Ss can retell this letter in their group .
Difficulties
Ss can write a letter to Robin and talk about it.
Teaching Method

Learning Steps
I. Warmer
Sing the song: Fruit song. Students look at screen and sing the song with music.
(Aims: Students can relax quickly and integrate into the English class.). Ask Ss: What is your favorite fruit?
II. Pre-reading
1. Introduce a good friend Robin. Let Ss guess where he is. Show a picture of the supermarket and listen to what Robin said, then tell Ss: If we want to get the invitation for Wu Yifan’s birthday party, we should finish some tasks.
Divide Ss into two groups and have a match in this class: the winner will get the gift for Wu Yifan.
2. Ss choose their numbers in the game. They may get some tasks, they may choose their lucky number, they may choose the bomb.
There will be 3 tasks:
Key words
What do you think of them?
Good memory and magic eyes
(Aims: Through the activities , review the key words and sentences patterns we learned)
III. While-reading
1. T: When we get the invitation, we can go to the party, but Yifan is not at home, there’s a letter for Robin, let’s read together.
When you see the letter, what questions do you have?
Listen to the letter.
(Aims: practice listening ability, Ss can know what the letter is about.)
2. Read the letter as quickly as possible, answer the following questions.
When is the birthday party?
How many people are there in Yifan’s family? Who are they?
(Aims: It’s easy to get the answers for them, after that Ss may have full confidence to continue reading.)
3. Detailed-reading.
(1) Read aloud together. Circle their favorite food.
(2) Read the letter by themselves, judge the sentences true or false.
(3)Finish the exercise. Ask Ss to work in pairs, while they are reading, underline the relevant sentences in the letter.
(Aims: Help Ss do somedetailed-reading, understand the sentences and some words better, at this time ,train Ss’ reading skills.)
IV. Post-reading.
1. Retell the letter.
Group work. Use the clues on the blackboard and retell the letter in groups. Then they can report in groups or choose a reporter.
(Aims: Through this activity, Ss can get and use the sentences freely, it can help them to promote their speaking ability.)
2. Write to Robin. Robin will cook today!
Write a letter to Robin, tell him about the favorite food on Yifan’s birthday.
(Aims: Through this activity, Ss can improve their writing ability and use the English freely.)
V. Emotional education
1. Have Ss watch a video.
T: We enjoy our happy life every day, but in this world, there are some people, they are not lucky. Let’s watch a video about them.
(Aims: Let students know we should cherish our life and love the world.)
VI.Homework
1. Read the passage three times.
2. Make a survey about your family’s favorite food.
