《At tweekends》说课稿
Hello, everyone. It’s my pleasure to be here sharing my lesson with you. The content of my lesson is at the weekends Part A from Unit8 Fun with English 5B .This is the second period. At first, let me talk about the teaching material. It is about activities at the weekends. The sentences patterns are: How do you spend your weekends? “How does he/she spend his/her weekends? and the answers.
I’ll talk about the teaching aims.
Firstly Knowledge aims:
1、 To enable the students to communicate with others about weekends freely, by using the new sentence patterns“How do you spend your weekends? I often…… Sometimes…….”“How does he/she spend his/her weekends? He/ She often…… Sometimes…….”
2、 To make the students understand the meaning of new words and phrases: weekends, learn……from, sport, spend, watch cartoons, catch butterflies.
Secondly Ability aims:
1 To develop Ss abilities f listening, speaking, reading and writing.
2 To train the Ss ability of good working in pairs.
Thirdly Emotion aims:
1.To develop the Ss’ interests in English.

Key points of this lesson is
To enable the students master the new words and sentenses.
Difficult points is
To develop Ss abilities f listening, speaking, reading and writing.
Teaching methods
In this lesson, I mainly use ‘task-based’ method and communication method. As we know, the main instructional aims of learning English in primary school is to cultivate the pupils’ basic abilities of listening, speaking and their good sense of English language. That is to say I’ll let them learn in real situations and finish a task by talking about their family’s weekends.
Teaching aids
In this lesson, CAI and some cards will be used.
Teaching procedure and purpose of my desinging
Step1: Warming up
I’ll have a free talk between T and Ss. Such as: I’ll ask a student how do you spend your weekends? and ask another student how How does he/she spend his/her weekends? make sure they answer correctly.
Purpose: Free talk is an important way to improve the Ss abilities of speaking. And at the same time, it can provide situations to review the learned knowledge for the next step.
Step2: Presentation
According to free talk, I’ll give the Ss a question: we know his or her weekends, how do Wang Bing and his friends spend their weekends? I’ll use CAI to show the whole dialogue. And make the Ss watch and think about the questions. After watching, I’ll give the Ss a form. Make sure they can answer it correctly. At the same time, I’ll let Ss learn some new words and phrases, such as: catch butterflies. sport and so on. When finished, Then watch it again.
Purpose: CAI can make a real situation for the Ss and help them understand the dialogue easier.
Step 3 Practice
I’ll let the Ss read the whole text after the tape and read by themselves. Then I’ll ask the Ss read in roles. I’ll give the others Ss some task: Listen and match. /Fill in the form./Fill in the blanks.
After that I’ll give the Ss another task: talk about your family weekends and let them love life.
Purpose: Task-based teaching method is used here. It can help me know if Ss can use the knowledge we learned.
Step 4 Homework
1. Listen and read….
2. Make other dialogues with partners.
Purpose: I think Ss will learn English not only in class, but also after class. So I arrange the homework.
