“Tell me，” asked Bear， “When is your birthday？”
“告诉我，”熊问，“你的生日是什么时候？”
“Tell me， when is your birthday？” replied the moon.
“告诉我，你的生日是什么时候？”月亮回答。
“Well， it just so happens that my birthday is tomorrow！” said Bear. “Well， it just so happens that my birthday is tomorrow！” said the moon.
“嗯，刚好明天是我的生日！”熊说。“嗯，刚好明天是我的生日！”
“What do you want for your birthday？” asked Bear. “What do you want for your birthday？” asked the moon.
“你想要什么生日礼物？”熊问。“你想要什么生日礼物？”月亮问。
Bear thought for a moment， then he replied： “I would like a hat.” “I would like a hat.” said the moon.
熊想了一会，然后他回答：“我想要一顶帽子。” “我想要一顶帽子。”月亮说。
Oh， goody！ Thought Bear， now I know what to get the moon for his birthday.
太好了！熊想，我现在知道拿什么给月亮当生日礼物了。
“Goodbye，” said Bear. “Goodbye，” said the moon.
“再见，”熊说。“再见，”月亮说。
When Bear got home， he dumped all the money out of his piggy bank.
熊回到家的时候，他倒出他的钱罐里面所有的钱。
Then he went downtown...
然后他去商业区...
and bought the moon a beautiful hat.
然后买下一顶漂亮的帽子给月亮。
The night he put the hat up in a tree where the moon could find it. Then he waited and watched while the moon slowly crept...
晚上，他把帽子放到月亮能找到的一颗树上。然后他在月亮慢慢移动的时候等着看。
up through the branches and tried on the hat.
越过树枝升上去，试带帽子。
“Hurray！” yelled Bear. “It fits just right！”
“万岁！”熊大叫。“帽子很合适！”
During the night while Bear slept， the hat fell out of the tree.
在熊睡觉的晚上，帽子从树上掉下来了。
In the morning Bear found the hat on his doorstep.
早上，熊发现了在他门阶的帽子。
“So the moon got me a hat， too” exclaimed Bear.
“所以月亮也送我一顶帽子”熊惊叫。
He tried it on and it fit perfectly.
他试了下帽子，帽子非常适合。
But just then， the wind blew Bear‘s hat off his head.
但是就在那时，风把熊头上的帽子吹走了。
He chased after it... but it got away.
熊追帽子...但是帽子离开了。
That night Bear paddled across the river...
那个晚上熊撑船过河...
and hiked through the forest...
徒步走过森林...
to talk with the moon.
去和月亮谈话。
For a long time the moon would not speak to him， so Bear spoke first.
月亮有一段时间没和熊说话，所以熊先说话了。
“Hello！” he shouted. “Hello！” replied the moon.
“你好！”他大喊。“你好！”月亮回答。
“I lost the beautiful hat you gave me，” said Bear. “I lost the beautiful hat you gave me，” said the moon.
“我丢了你送给我的漂亮帽子，”熊说。“我丢了你送给我的漂亮帽子，”月亮说。
“That’s okay， I still love you！” said Bear. “That‘s okay， I still love you！” said the moon.
“没关系，我依然爱你！”熊说。“没关系，我依然爱你！”月亮说。
“HAPPY BIRTHDAY！” said Bear. “HAPPY BIRTHDAY！” said the moon.
“生日快乐！”熊说。“生日快乐！”月亮说。
